Make a Difference in Someone’s Life.

Are you looking for an opportunity to serve others?
Do you enjoy spending time with people and offering companionship?
Do you like to lend a helping hand when you see a need?

Coastal Hospice volunteers play an invaluable role in our work to provide expert, personalized end-of-life care & bereavement support. We are proud to host volunteers across all walks of life who are committed to enriching the lives of terminally ill patients and their families.

Ways to Serve

Coastal Hospice volunteers not only provide medical and hands-on care — they provide comfort, companionship and a helping hand at just the right time. No experience is necessary; only a willingness to serve others.

Our volunteers serve patients and their families in a variety of ways, such as:

  • Sitting with a patient and offering conversation, playing board games, etc.
  • Running an errand for a patient’s loved one so he or she can take a break.
  • Taking part in sewing or knitting projects and making quilts, pillowcases or blankets for a patient.
  • Staying with a patient while his or her loved one goes to the doctor or runs an errand.
  • Playing an instrument or singing for a patient.
  • Working on an art project with a patient.
  • Donate blood to the Red Cross
